In order to rock out properly, you need a nice axe. In order to get a nice guitar, you need money. In order to get money, you need a job. That’s where Career Ramblings can help. Perhaps you’re having a hard time at work, or maybe you want to start your own business. This site has you covered.

Career Ramblings is a blog that’s updated daily about career development. Not only do I get their posts to my Google Reader, but it’s one of my favorite blogs. They even have a deal for a free link back if you review their blog.

As far as design goes, Career Ramblings is not too exciting. However, the blue color scheme is nice and easy on the eyes. In any case, design isn’t the main focus of the blog.

Not only have I learned a lot from their posts, but the site has served as an inspiration to me in pursing my own career. As the founder and webmaster for strumstrum and other websites, staying up to date with the latest tips and tricks in the business world is a must.

Overall, Career Ramblings is a very generous site. They have a top commentators block on their main page, giving contributors a nice link back to their site. Advertising on the blog is minimal and doesn’t take away from the content.

If you have any interest in advancing in your field then I definitely recommend subscribing to their RSS feed. You wont regret it!

Having trouble making money with your website? Or perhaps you just want to see what kind of wheels a dot com success has? Look no further.

John Chow dot Com gives web development advice from a dot com mogul that’s seen it all. He knows the ropes, and he has a 2003 Acura RSX to show for it.

John Chow’s blog uses a personalized WordPress template, with an emphasis on simplicity. The design is a bit bland for my tastes, but that hasn’t stopped John Chow from rising the ranks on Alexa and Technorati. John Chow writes frequent guides for online marketing, exposing his techniques and earnings from his own websites.

I first came across his blog on Digg a few months back. But it wasn’t until he was banned from Digg that he captured my full attention. Since then, I have been a daily reader of his blog.

Since it’s a personal blog, the posts are not always about web development. However, the life of a dot com success is almost just as fascinating. Reading the his blog has plenty of benefits. John Chow is always running contests and giving away free stuff. Recently, he offered a free linkback for anyone that reviewed his blog.

One of the reasons that people reported JohnChow.com on Digg as spam is because he uses quite a few adverts throughout his posts. He has almost become notorious for this ad-peppering technique. Not that it’s a bad thing, because his techniques work. It works for him, it works for his advertisers, and it doesn’t stop people from coming to his site.

Take it or leave it, John Chow dot Com is a tell-all blog by a dot com mogul that may help you make money online.
