The timing! The coordination! It’s not quite guitar sex. Guitar fondling, perhaps? I am always impressed by the skills of fellow guitarists. If one hand was even slightly off, the whole show could be ruined. I can’t imagine the agony of leaning over my father’s guitar for hours on end practicing that. Kudos to them.

To have guitar sex, you will need a partner. Gender does not matter. Nor does the size of your axe, regardless of what you hear on the TV. Step one in having guitar sex: stand facing your partner with your guitar approx. one foot away from the opposite guitar. Step two, rock until you and your partner achieve guitargasm. Enjoy!

Take a V and flip it. That’s right, a reversed flying V! The company with… well… everything to lose… thought it would be a good idea to take the classic Flying V and flip it.

The legendary Flying V electric guitar is known for its distinctive look, stage presence, and uncomfortable feel. First introduced in 1958, the classic has been turned on its head. In a questionable move, Gibson has flipped the iconic V fins and added an asymmetrical headstock, drawing further attention with a vivid Trans Amber finish and gold-plated hardware. With a period correct string-through tailpiece and twin ‘57 Classic humbuckers, this guitar will get you some double-takes, if nothing else.

Maybe there’s a reason they’re only making 400 of ‘em.
